I grew up skateboarding in Florida. In 2011 a knee injury caused me to stop skating and shortly after I came across CrossFit. It sucked. Granted, I hadn’t worked out since High School and smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. I gave it a solid run for 3 months and then threw in the towel. I thought I could get better results somewhere else. I was wrong.

I spent the next few years working out on my own at globo gyms. I had found a love for fitness. To the point my workouts evolved to something that closely resembled CrossFit. I wanted to be well versed in all things fitness and CrossFit provided the opportunity for just that. In 2015 I jumped back into CrossFit and never looked back.

In 2016 I became a CrossFit Coach. My favorite thing about coaching is watching people overcome their own perceived limitations. Whether it’s climbing a rope for the first time, adding weights to lunges, hitting a huge snatch PR, or deadlifting 500 pounds. Watching someone say they can’t to moments later being at the top of a muscle up because they weren’t afraid to try. Having the opportunity to be apart of the best part of someone’s day is one of the most rewarding things out there.

The results translate far outside the gym. It’s an inclusive community where everyone strives to be the best versions of themselves with love, support, and a little competitive nature. I’m proud to be a part of the community at CrossFit Cherry Creek and grateful for the people here who push me to be better everyday.
